I Ching Divination

Step 1: Cast the hexagram. Toss three coins each time to determine a yao (line):

• 3 heads = Old Yang (changing)
• 2 heads 1 tail = Young Yin
• 1 head 2 tails = Young Yang
• 3 tails = Old Yin (changing)

Six tosses give you six yao, forming the Original Hexagram (describes your current situation). Old Yang becomes Yin, Old Yin becomes Yang, giving the Changed Hexagram (shows future trends).

Step 2: Interpret. Combine the hexagram text and changing line readings to gain insight.
